The BWS 2026 Roadmap

The BWS 2026 Roadmap

In the event industry, “we have the best people” is a common phrase. At BWS Event Support, we don’t just hire talent—we build it. As we look toward 2026, our focus is on raising an already high bar even further. We are moving from being a reliable crew provider to becoming a source of fully certified, independent, and highly-specialized technical teams.

Here is how BWS is evolving for 2026 and what that means for our partners.

1. Professional Training from Day One

It is common in this industry for newcomers to learn on-site, often at the client’s expense. We are changing that. Before a BWS crew member ever steps onto an international stage, they must pass through our internal training system.

  • The Level 1 Entry: It starts with an online educational course followed by a mandatory exam.
  • Practical “Work” part: If they pass the exam, they move to our practical training. We use real equipment: we unload trucks, build stages, construct LED screens, and connect PA systems.
  • The “Local First” Rule: New crew members gain experience on local projects first. Only the top-rated, proven individuals are sent to our international clients.
  • Opportunities to become a true expert: To ensure our more experienced crew members don’t get stuck on their growth path, we provide specialized training – for example for riggers (SQQ 2), Scaffers (Layher workshops), or event technicians.

The Goal: When you hire BWS, you aren’t getting someone who is “learning on the job.” You are getting someone who knows the equipment before they arrive, and has the “event mindset” required for tough jobs in our industry.

2. The BWS Development Program: A Career, Not a Gig

We believe that a crew member who sees a future in the company works with more responsibility. We have introduced a clear roadmap for our team: Stagehand → Junior Technician → Specialist.

  • The “Newbie” System: On every job, we maintain a strict ratio (e.g., 1 Junior for every 5 Technicians). This ensures that knowledge is passed down, no one is left unsupported, and the job gets done.
  • The Rating System: We track performance. A “Rating 80” allows a crew member to become a Junior Tech. A “Rating 30” with good English, and a clean sheet (no complaints) is the ticket to higher-paid international projects. (Every worker starts on Rating 1 and every successful job is +1 to Rating)
  • Industry Firsts: We are the first company in Poland to offer internal rigger training for SQQ certificates. Previously, this was only available in Germany. We are bringing that level of German precision to the Polish market.
  • Incentives for Excellence: From “Hard Worker” bonuses for those who pull 25 shifts a month to discounts on Forklift Operator, IPAF, and health and safety (BHP) certifications, we invest in the people who want to grow.

3. Fixed Installations: Event Precision for Permanent Projects

Fixed installations require a different mindset than temporary festival stages; they demand extreme precision, neatness, and long-term reliability. While a festival is about the “now,” an installation is about the “always“.

The reality is that we have so many people in our Crew that we already have a large number of experienced installers – It was a no-brainer to put them to work on permanent projects as a standard service. Whether it is a stadium, a theater, or a corporate office, we provide teams that know how to deliver a clean, professional finish that meets the highest technical standards.

4. Recruiting the “Teaching Technician”

While we grow our own talent, we are also recruiting experienced senior technicians and AV installers. However, we are picky. We don’t just look for technical skills; we look for a culture fit.

We recruit experts who want to share their knowledge. In our system, an experienced tech isn’t just there to do the job—they are there to raise the level of the entire crew. By providing our seniors with top-tier equipment, clear guidelines, and interesting global projects, we ensure that BWS remains the “home” for the best talent in the industry.

What this means for 2026

Our goal for 2026 isn’t just to be the biggest Polish crew company, but the most reliable one. By investing time and money into our basic stagehands and providing a path to specialized certification, we ensure that BWS remains a partner you can trust, anywhere you need us.
